AN INTERIOR design expert has revealed six of the most common mistakes that could be making your home look cheap – and it’s bad news if you like artificial plants.
Taking to TikTok, a designer who is known as Interior By Krish, shared all the home choices to steer clear of if you want your interior to look stylish rather than tacky.

In a short video, the pro shared a list of things to avoid and explained: “Things that make your house look CHEAP!”
To begin with, Krish advised against buying thin rugs for anyone hoping to achieve a luxurious-feeling room.
Next, the pro also took issue with exposed radiators and mass produced artwork, claiming they both instantly cheapen any open space.
Also in the firing line was short curtains and flat cushions.
Finally, the interior design expert urged people to stick with fresh flowers rather than artificial ones.
The post has since garnered a whopping 870,000 views and been inundated with comments.
Unsurprisingly, the controversial opinions sparked quite the debate online – with many disagreeing.

“Bit harsh & I disagree. As long as its clean and you can make your home lovely with whatever each to there own,” wrote one.
A second commented: “Depends on what kind of artificial plants you choose. Some are of high quality and look like the real thing.”
A third penned: “I would rather my house look cheap and lived in than cold and sterile and people feel uncomfortable in.”
Meanwhile, a fourth argued: “Not really, it’s all subjective.”
And a further joked: “I must have the cheapest house going I ticked the list on all.”
