Federal officials are investigating soon after a pilot was killed in a fiery aircraft crash times after takeoff in Oxnard on Friday morning.


According to authorities in Ventura County, the aircraft crashed on to a strawberry subject around the 101 Freeway at Del Note Boulevard just right after 8:20 a.m. 

Officials with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Place of work claimed it appears the aircraft strike the facet of the Gold Coastline Christian Church located at 3500 Camarillo Avenue. The church, positioned in an office environment setting up, is found close to the southbound lanes of the freeway and on effect, the crash brought on particles to spill onto the northbound lanes. Fire authorities claimed the Mooney plane crashed just times soon after departing the Camarillo Airport, and a tower recording indicates the pilot did not make a distress connect with. 


The Federal Aviation Administration the Mooney M20T was registered in Arizona and intended to land at the Deer Valley Airport in the north Phoenix spot.

Fire officers reported two urban lookup and rescue dogs, named Wyatt and Mazie, were being deployed to the scene to support track down any added victims. 

A SigAlert was quickly issued in the spot and all lanes have due to the fact reopened. 

Nearby authorities have not discovered the pilot and the FAA does not establish men and women included in aviation incidents.

The FAA and Countrywide Transportation Protection Board are investigating.
